Far Away There in the Sunshine is a piece inspired by the well-known Louisa May Alcott quote, “Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.”  The slow lyrical beginning paints the picture of looking far away in the distance, taking time to reflect. It’s followed by a fast energetic section that repeats the melody to suggest change and action, going after your dreams. At the end the lyrical section returns to bring the piece to a contemplative conclusion.
